Best Thai food I've ever had! I've lived a lot of places and have never found Thai this good. My go to!
Best pad thai I've ever had. Beware: their spicy scale has not been dumbed down for Americans -- your mouth will be on fire at level 3. You've been warned.
The menus posted are grossly outdated, pricing-wise. All entrees are $15 as of Sept 2023. Thai iced tea is $3.50. Cash-only, still. The food is delicious, but for $15, the portions are very skimpy, and they try to compensate by loading you up with rice, hence the 4 stars. I will still dine here, but it'll be more as a special treat rather than a regular visit.
The best pad Thai I've had in Seattle! Walked in for lunch and food was served very quickly. The space s very small so there is often a wait and it's not a place to hang around afterwards. Absolutely amazing food though!
Managing expectations: Thai Tom is a small spot tucked into the Ave. it's cash only, has a relatively small menu, and it gets BUSY!
That said, we absolutely love it. Food comes out quickly, ingredients are always fresh, and the flavor always delivers. Portion sizes are also on point, we usually either leave quite full or have some leftovers to take with us. Service is efficient and exactly what it needs to be for the space.
Bottom line: absolutely recommend if you're in the area and have cash in hand! Just don't go expecting a fine dining experience.
Everything we ate tasted so great. This is definitely a hole in the wall to keep on your list of places to visit. The mango sticky rice was so good, we couldn't order enough. The service is so nice. They do only accept cash and the seating is limited but the food will make up for those things.
A really good casual place. Very simple and fresh dishes, love that you can see and feel the food cooking right in front of you. We got the basil chicken, panang curry, and pad thai(only noodles they had available) and everything tasted great.
Pros: fast service, and fast movement on seating, only had to wait a few minutes on a weekday night
Cons: cash only, only bottled water available, so consider getting a drink
one of my favorite pad see ews i've had! super flavorful and the char is amazing and it was a decent portion size as well. highly recommend coming early since they are pretty busy! and bring cash since they are cash only!
